WADENA, Minn. (KFGO) โ A Deer Creek, Minnesota couple suffered minor injuries when the horse-drawn buggy they were riding in was struck by an SUV southwest of Wadena Wednesday morning.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriffโs Office, the SUV was traveling on County Highway 50 heading east when it came upon the buggy at the bottom of a hill. The road was slippery from fresh snow. The driver of the SUV braked and tried to avoid the buggy, but struck it.
The impact caused the horse and buggy to separate. The horse continued on and the buggy tipped over.
The driver and passenger in the buggy โ Raymond, 56, and Barbara, 55, Schrock โ were taken to the Tri County Hospital in Wadena to be checked over.
The driver and a passenger of the SUV were not hurt.
