BISMARCK – (KFGO) – An inmate from the Missouri River Correctional Center, a minimum security prison in Bismarck, was captured hours after he walked away Thursday around 6:30 p.m.
Highway Patrol was notified by the correctional center staff that 41-year-old Trevis Tofi Tessaro had escaped. He was apprehended about 3 1/2 hours later by state troopers at a local gas station.
Tessaro was taken to the State Penitentiary and will be charged with escape Friday. He was serving about three years for Domestic Violence and Criminal Mischief.
