SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KFGO/KELO) โ South Dakotaโs minimum wage will increase Jan. 1.
The stateโs minimum wage is adjusted every year and measured by change in the Consumer Price Index from the U.S. Department of Labor. In 2014, voters passed a ballot measure that states the minimum wage will be adjusted annually and never be decreased.
South Dakotaโs current minimum wage is $9.95 per hour for non-tipped employees. It will go to $10.80. Minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to no less than $5.40 an hour.
