FARGO (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that happened at approximately 8:45 this morning on 25th St. S. at 36th Ave. in Fargo, in front of Hope Lutheran Church.
State Patrol says a northbound Fargo Schools bus rear-ended a Jeep which had stopped to make a left turn into a convenience store parking lot. The crash caused the Jeep to enter the southbound lanes and strike an SUV. The Jeep then rolled onto its roof and the driver was ejected. The SUV went up onto the eastside sidewalk and struck a tree.
The driver of the Jeep is identified as 31-year-old Timothy Gruchow of Fargo. Gruchow sustained serious injuries and was transported by FM Ambulance to Essentia Hospital. The driver of the SUV was identified as 51-year-old Evon Wilson of Fargo. Wilson sustained serious injuries and was transferred by FM Ambulance to the Sanford Hospital.
The school bus was being operated by Valley Bus company. The driver is identified as 66-year-old Rose Schalaht of Fargo. Schalaht was not injured in the crash. The bus had already completed its daily route and no children were on board the bus at the time of the crash.
25th Street South was blocked off to the public for approximately two hours while the crash was being investigated.
