GRAND FORKS, N.D. (UND Athletics) – No. 10/11 North Dakota begins its three-time NCHC title defense this weekend against Omaha in the league opener for both teams on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. from Baxter Arena.

Friday will be the 47th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Omaha, with UND holding a 28-17-1 advantage in the series.
The first team to score a goal in the contest has won 20 of the last 21 games in the series, with the lone difference being the Saturday finale in Grand Forks between the two last season.
Over its history, North Dakota has never lost the season series with the Mavericks dating back to 2010-11 when they became conference mates.
