MINNEAPOLIS – Hennepin County prosecutors are accused of destroying evidence in a fatal crash case.
Former Minneapolis Police Officer Brian Cummings is facing two felony charges, including manslaughter.
Cummings was pursuing a stolen vehicle last year when he crashed into another car, causing the death of Leneal Frazier. Investigators say Cummings was driving 80 miles an hour in a 25-mile-per-hour speed zone. His attorneys are saying they should have received information on G-P-S data, messages between Minnesota State Patrol troopers who responded, plus letters and emails as a part of their discovery.
A judge heard arguments Monday and is expected to issue a decision within 30 days.
