GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Grand Forks Police say a Grand Forks driver faces multiple charges in a Monday morning rollover that injured six people with ties to a musical artist who appeared hours earlier at Alerus Center.
According to police, Starsha Laquisha Swift, 32, has been charged with DUI, DUI refusal, driving under suspension, and six counts of reckless endangerment.
Police say shortly after 2:00 a.m. Swift was driving on Demers Avenue when her vehicle left the road, struck a median, overturned, and ejected two passengers – a Florida man and a Georgia woman – who were transported to Altru.
Swift and four passengers exited her vehicle with assistance. Police say Swift refused medical attention, while the four others – three men from Georgia and a man with no address listed – were taken to Altru for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the six passengers are “affiliated” with rapper B.o.B., who had a Sunday night concert at Alerus Center, but they are not band members.
The crash remains under investigation.
