Mary Turner - MN Nurse Association President
DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – As many as 15-thousand nurses are in day two of their three-day strike against 15 hospitals in the Twin Cities and Duluth-Superior. Chris Rubesch with the Minnesota Nurses Association was asked if a lockout is a possibility when they return to work Thursday. He says they’re prepared for that, but also says it would be unfortunate because they want to return to work and care for their patients. A spokesman for Essentia in Duluth discounts the possibility of a lockout, saying at this point they’re ready to welcome nurses back on Thursday. The Twin Cities Hospitals Group couldn’t be immediately reached for comment.
