
Monico Espinoza (Cass Co. Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) โ Rooters Bar in downtown Fargo was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night and late Wed. afternoon Moorhead Police said the same man is also a suspect in a robbery in that city earlier Tuesday night.
Fargo Police say at 11:40, officers responded to the 100 block of Broadway for a reported robbery.
The suspect, 37-year-old Monico Espinoza, with no permanent address, entered the bar and pointed a gun at the bar manager and demanded all the money, according to police. The bar manager gave money from the till to Espinoza who then fled on foot.
Witness statements and downtown camera footage assisted officers in locating Espinoza, who had entered another bar in the 400 block of Broadway. Espinoza was arrested for felony robbery and carrying a concealed weapon. He was also wanted on warrants in Cass County and Fargo.
After Fargo and Moorhead investigators reviewed both robberies, Espinoza was also named the suspect in the armed robbery of the Bottle Shoppe on 1st Ave. N in Moorhead. In that robbery, a man was given cash and made his getaway on a bicycle.
