DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO) – Severe weather pushed through the area Friday night, causing WE Fest to cancel performances.
Miranda Lambert was scheduled to perform, but as the rain, lightning, and high winds approached, WE Fest officials canceled the night’s events and asked the audience to return to their campsites or other shelter.
Lambert addressed the cancelation on Twitter, tweeting in part, ‘…the weather sure was actin up tonight. So sad that we cannot play for y’all!! Hope to see y’all down the road again soon.’ Lambert is scheduled to play in Chicago Sunday night.
WE Fest plans to resume today.
The Redhawks were also forced to postpone. They will play a doubleheader tonight against Lincoln starting tonight at 5 p.m.
