Lt. Gov. candidate Matt Birk and Gov. candidate Scott (R-MN)
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Walz-Flanagan campaign has harsh words for Republican lieutenant governor candidate Matt Birk for what he said about abortion on the day the U-S Supreme Court overturned Roe vs.Wade.
At an anti-abortion conference in Georgia, Birk likened abortion to slavery, saying abortion rights groups consider an unborn child to be “the property of the mother.”
Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan accused Birk and Republican candidate for governor Scott Jensen of wanting to control women instead of helping them.
She said they “don’t care if a woman has to walk away from her dream career, or if she became pregnant due to sexual assault.”
