No denying my affection for a hamburger. Over the years I’ve quit fighting the desire to really try much other than a burger when we go out to eat. I’ve blogged often about my favorite area burgers–to many to relay again–but recently I’ve rediscovered the discount burger. In times like these why not?
Trust me I’m still going to enjoy the legendary burgers from around the area, but I’m also going to give the discount burgers their due and starting with Burger King.
Saturday on our way back from fishing we tossed around a few ideas’ for a great burger with the toughest to pass up being a few miles away from Dunvilla. But with a pending Saturday evening barbecue and time short we decided to give Burger King a try. I’m glad we did.
I checked out the menu and my old German economics (cheap) was stopped in my tracks. A $1 bacon cheese burger. I had to. No way around it. Guess what. For $1 I didn’t feel ripped off at all. A small regular patty, a small strip of bacon and slice of cheese. The usual pickles, onions and again. It was more than just a little slice of pickle. Topped with appropriate amounts.
I wasn’t stuffed and didn’t need to be. For the price it was even better than expected. To top if off the fries were hot and also plentiful for just $1.
How can I complain about that? I didn’t and I can’t. $1 Burger King Bacon Cheeseburger. #sold
