The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks hosted the Lincoln Saltdogs Sunday afternoon to finish up a three game series at Newman Outdoor Field with a 3-1 victory. The RedHawks got down to a 1-0 lead in the top of 4th before scoring 2 in the bottom of the 4th. Manuel Boscan scored on a pass ball, then later Leobaldo Pina scored from an RBI single by John Silviano, his 42nd on the season. In the bottom of the 5th Sam Dexter hit a lead off double that would lead him to score one batter later as Nick Novack hit a RBI single his 4th of the year. With the win Sunday afternoon the RedHawks improve to 33-13 on the season.
The RedHawks sent out Tyler Grauer to start the game as he went 6 innings pitched giving up 6 hits and 1 earned run improving to 5-2 on the season. Alex Dubord picked up the save as he went 1 inning pitched as he gave up 2 hits and striking out 2 Saltdogs.
The Saltdogs had Elijah Johnson start on the mound as he went 5 innings pitched giving up 3 hits with 3 earned runs as he falls to 1-3 on the season.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are back at it Tuesday night as they host the Winnipeg Goldeyes, pregame show is at 6:40 P.M. as first pitch is at 7:00 P.M. on 740 The Fan.
