DOUGLAS COUNTY, Minn. (KFGO) – One person died and another was hospitalized after Monday night’s storm brought down a tree in Douglas County, trapping the two in a camper.
The sheriff’s office and police received multiple reports of storm damage just after 11:00 p.m. One of the calls came from Elmwood Resort on Lake Mary southwest of Alexandria of screams for help coming from a crushed camper.
When officers arrived at the campground, they found the camper with a man and woman trapped inside. Both people were extracted from the wreck. The man was dead. The woman was taken to the Alexandria hospital. Her condition has not been released.
They’ve been identified as 72-year-old Mark Bunney and 66-year-old Debra Bunney, both of Miami, Arizona.
