GARY, IN – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks fell to the Gary SouthShore Railcats 2-1 Saturday afternoon.
Gary ShouthShore jumped on the board early when Jesus Marriaga drove in Micheal Woodworth in the bottom of the first inning taking a 1-0 lead.
Fargo-Moorhead knotted the game up at 1-1 in the top of the fifth inning on a Leo Pina RBI double that scored Manny Boscan.
The Railcats plated the winning run on a Zach Welz RBI single that scored Chris Burgess in the top of the sixth inning to make it 2-1 Railcats.
The RedHawks and Railcats continue their series on Sunday afternoon, Jack Michaels will have the call, pregame at 1:40 p.m. first pitch 2:00 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
