We decided to give “ice cream in a bag” a try – during our show!
It’s just a few ingredients, some ice and a few plastic bags… lots of shaking… and you get ice cream! Really!
Apparently if you went to camp when you were younger, you already knew all about this! But in case it’s new to you, here’s how to do it:
1 c. half-and-half
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. ice
1/3 c. salt
And, of course, Toppings of your choice
In a small resealable plastic bag, combine half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla. Push out excess air and seal.
Into a large resealable plastic bag, combine ice and salt. Place small bag inside the bigger bag and shake vigorously, 7 to 10 minutes, until ice cream has hardened.
Remove from bag and enjoy with your favorite ice cream toppings.
It’s that easy – and fun to do with the kids!
