WILLISTON, N.D. (KFGO) – Four people died in motorcycle crashes over the Memorial Day weekend in North Dakota.
The latest happened Monday morning north of Williston, at the intersection of a Williams County road and the Love’s Travel Center.
The Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist was eastbound on the county road when he struck a pickup that turned onto the road from the travel center. He was taken to CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Williston where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
Saturday, there were two other crashes. A Fargo motorcyclist was killed when he struck the rear of a crop sprayer near Raleigh. A man and woman, both from Wyndmere, died when a pickup rear-ended their motorcycle as they slowed to turned on Highway 11 onto a Richland County Road west of Hankinson. The patrol says the pickup driver, a 41-year old man from Veblen, South Dakota, fled on foot and was apprehended several hours later.
