The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks traveled to Cleburne Texas to take on The Cleburne Railroaders in a 3 game series as The RedHawks took game one by a score of 7-1. With the win on Friday night The RedHawks improve to 4-3. The RedHawks had pitcher Sebastian Kessay start the game on the mound as he went 5 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 earned run as he improves to 1-0 on the season.
The Cleburne Railroaders fall to 2-5 on the season as Jalen Evans started for The Railroaders on the mound as he picked up the lost and falls to 0-1 on the year. Jalen Evans went 4 innings pitched giving up 4 hits while only giving up 1 earned run, the other two runs were unearned.
The RedHawks got to a quick 3-0 nothing lead as they scored 1 in the first inning and 2 in the second inning. The Railroaders would get a run in the bottom of the fourth, but The RedHawks would answer with a solo home run by Drew Ward in the top of the fifth inning to take a 4-1 lead. The RedHawks would add three more runs in the top of the ninth to make the final score 7-1 with The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks picking up the win Friday night.
The RedHawks play The Railroaders again Saturday night at 7:00 P.M as the pregame show starts at 6:45 P.M. on 740 The Fan.
