Why is radio THE best? Not only is it FREE. But it’s FAST.
Funny how in this world of “click” and “no wait” we are pushed towards accepting !paid! mediums which have no choice but to wait. Not only must you pay for a service, smart phone or app, but you also must turn on, load, and wait.
Think about a radio. Click. It’s there. Sure you have to pay for a radio or the batteries. But you also must have paid for a TV or phone to watch/listen to something else.
I don’t pay for any streaming service. Hulu, NetFlix, Disney+ I haven’t & I won’t. I’ll take the radio.
Another problem with TV is it’s totally passive. You sit. You watch. You’re informed or entertained but for me I can be informed and entertained while I walk or work listening to the raido.
I’m even getting to the point where I’m putting my phone to the side more and more often and going to my old hand held radio and transistor. Why? Because it NEVER buffers. It’s on RIGHT now. When I turn on the radio I don’t have to wait for an ad or two or three.
Even at night. I sit down in my EZ chair and there it is right next to me. The radio.
