After Knoephla soup took top honors in our soup bracket, a listener sent us her tried & true recipe.
KNOEPHLA SOUP
Boil together:
5 Potatoes diced
1 Med Onion diced
1 stalk Celery diced
6 Cups Water
1 can Chicken Broth
4 Chicken Bouillon
Cook until veggies are soft
Add
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
Simmer until mixed
Cool slightly, then add:
1 Cup Cream
1 can Evaporated milk
Simmer until hot
Add Cooked Knoephlas —
Knoephla recipe:
2 Cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Water
