BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – A search is underway in Bismarck today for a missing West Fargo man.
Badlands Search and Rescue, Northstar Search and Rescue, and Bismarck Police officers will conduct a wide area search near the area of Cottonwood Park for Daniel Olson who has been missing since October. Fargo police took a missing person report on Olson after he didn’t show up for work.
Bismarck Police Lt. Luke Gardiner said Olson’s car was discovered near Cottonwood Park in early November. Gardiner previously said Olson’s wallet and other personal belongings were in the car and police have no indication of a crime in the disappearance of Olson.
Gardiner said prior searches of the area have been unsuccessful.
Bismarck police said volunteers, dogs, horses, and officers from law enforcement agencies around the state will conduct the search and will focus on the Cottonwood Park area, Lincoln Oakes Nursery, and other locations along the river.
