BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. (KFGO) – Breckenridge Police and Wilkin County Sheriff’s have provided updated information about a reported domestic violence call Wednesday morning at a Breckenridge home that left a man dead of a gunshot wound.
Police Chief Kris Karlgaard says an altercation occurred between a husband and wife at their residence. Officers found a 28-year-old male, dead inside his home, with an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators determined that the male died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Breckenridge Police Department were assisted by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
No one was arrested during this incident and there is no threat to the public. The body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
