
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – More details and the suspect’s name have been released in a Monday, March 21st pursuit in Stutsman County that ended in a suspect being hospitalized for severe hypothermia.
22 year-old Austin Perleberg Hunt of Jamestown was charged with felony fleeing, reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing stolen property as well as misdemeanor driving under suspension and resisting arrest.
A pursuit was initiated on I-94 when a vehicle was reportedly traveling 98 in a 75 mph zone. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Fargo earlier Monday. The pursuit ended in rural Stutsman County when the vehicle entered a ditch and the suspect fled on foot and hid in a slough.
North Dakota Highway Patrol reports Perleberg Hunt was found roughly an hour and a half later and was severely hypothermic. He was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and later transported to a Fargo Hospital.
Perleberg Hunt had warrants for his arrest at the time of the pursuit from Burleigh, Eddy, and Stutsman Counties, as well as Jamestown Police.
He is currently in custody at the Stutsman County Jail.
