FARGO (KFGO) – Denise Kolpack, Jodi Plecity, and Victoria Johnson are the 8th, 9th, and 10th declared candidates seeking a seat of the Fargo City Commission.
Kolpack, 58, is a recent retiree of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota where she served as a vice president for 15 years. She previously served as the Executive Director of the ND Newspaper Association. Johnson is a Family Advocate. She is a native of Uganda and a graduate of Fargo South High School. Johnson says more female voices are needed on the commission and that special assessments are creating a burden on homeowners. Plecity, is an entrepreneur and co-founder of Peoples Rising Academy.
Two seats are open on the June ballot. Commissioner Tony Gehrig is not running again and Commissioner Dave Piepkorn has not yet announced his intentions.
