
CJ Carruthers
FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in connection with the shooting of a six-year-old boy in West Fargo in March of last year.
US District Judge Peter Welte sentenced CJ Carruthers under the Hobbs Act.
Carruthers was trying to rob a drug dealer with Germond Johnson Jr. when Carruthers shot at the dealer. The robbery victim fired back and a bullet went through the wall of a home. The boy was lying in bed when he was shot in the head by a stray bullet. The boy survived.
Johnson, who pleaded guilty, will be sentenced in July.
