BISMARCK, N.D. – Portions of I-94, I-29, and Highway 13 in North Dakota are closed due to continuing blizzard conditions.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation and Highway Patrol have closed I-94 from Valley City to Fargo, I-29 from Fargo to the South Dakota border and Highway 13 from I-29 to Wahpeton. I-94 westbound between Valley City and Jamestown is now open but the eastbound lanes are still closed.
The road closures come as blizzard conditions continue to cause hazardous travel and zero visibility. The roads could become impassable due to severe snow drifting.
The NDDOT and NDHP are reminding motorists that travel on a closed road is not allowed due to life threatening conditions.
For more information on road conditions throughout North Dakota, call 511 or visit the ND Roads map at travel.dot.nd.gov/. Information on 511 and the travel map is updated daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m.
