Nothing wrong with the Fryn’ Pan I mentally thought on a Saturday afternoon.
From Fargo to Wahpeton it’s a regional chain diner with a Denny’s meets Perkins kinda mash up feel to me. Back in the day we’ve dined their often, but not since the remodel off Main Ave in Fargo.
Trust me I know I’m an old fuddy duddy but I appreciated the old design and setup. But that’s about me holding on to history and I realize more appreciate new, bright and more efficient dining setup with more nooks and crannies. I appreciated the old Fryn’ Pan. Emphasis on me being old.
The new Fryin’ is new. But I miss the old. Have I said that enough?
As you know my goto is a burger.
The food was…well..also not as good as it used to be. All prices have shot up so I’m not lamenting the $10.19 PanHandler burger. I’ll say I was thankful the fries were hot, crisp and plentiful. The burger? I’d rate it about 6 out of 10. Size was fine but just honestly nothing to make me think “we gotta get back there again soon”
Similar to the rest of the families thoughts on burgers, turkey club combo, cajun chicken salad and fettucini alfredo. Good. Not great.
I miss the old Fryn’ Pan. Have I said that?
