DOUGLAS COUNTY, MINN. (KFGO) – A man was seriously injured Sunday morning in a snowmobile crash near Alexandria, Minnesota.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says 64-year-old Harlan Oberg, of Alexandria, crashed when his snowmobile struck a patch of ice as he attempted to drive over a snowbank and lost control. He fell off and landed on his back and head and was knocked unconscious. The impact from the fall cracked the visor of his helmet. Another snowmobiler, 36-year-old Nathaniel Butler, of Fargo, witnessed the crash and was able to call 911 for help.
Oberg was transported to the Alexandria hospital for treatment of his injuries.
