FARGO (KFGO) – As Valentines Day approaches, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on the best and worst states for singles in the U.S. and the news isn’t great for North Dakota’s unhitched adults.
The state ranks third-worst overall for singles and is at the very bottom of the barrel when it comes to gender balance and restaurants per capita, two key factors for dating-friendliness according to WalletHub. North Dakota’s better-than-average median annual household income helped the state avoid the fate of West Virginia, which ranked last in the survey.
California edged out New York for the number one spot for singles in America while Minnesota ranked a respectable 12th with South Dakota coming in 39th.
