DETROIT LAKES (KFGO) – A woman has died of injuries suffered in a Saturday morning apartment fire in Detroit Lakes.
She’s been identified as 61-year-old Kari Bishop. The blaze was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m. Police Chief Steve Todd says the damage was primarily contained to Bishop’s apartment, although there was smoke damage elsewhere. Bishop’s body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner in St. Paul.
Detroit Lakes firefighters were assisted by Audubon and Frazee. Also responding were St. Mary’s-Essentia EMS, Perham EMS, Becker County Deputies, Sanford Air-Med, and Salvation army.
