CLOQUET, MN – A two-year college in northeastern Minnesota is ending its football program.
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College leaders said budget limitations and a lack of facilities largely contributed to the decision. The Thunder called off its 2020 and 2021 football seasons due to COVID-19 concerns.
A Fond du Lac athletics task force decided to continue men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball and is exploring other options for future seasons.
