FARGO (KFGO) – Two people have died in an early morning fire in Fargo.
The Fargo Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from a residence at 1418 2nd Ave. S. at 5:09 a.m. One person was removed from the residence during the fire was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and passed away.
A search of the house found a second deceased person. Content within the house made it difficult for responding crews to control the fire. Two firefighters fell into a hole in the floor of the house but were able to safely get out.
FFD was assisted by the Fargo Police Department and Sanford Ambulance.
The names of the victims have not been released and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
