Oak Grove’s swarming defense forced a litany of Wyndmere/Lidgerwood turnovers, and the Grovers’ onslaught of fast break points carried them to a 73-46 thrashing of Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Monday night.
Trevon Rodriguez and Ian Saunders led the Grovers with 19 each. Nearly half of Oak Grove’s came in transition following a takeaway. The Grovers improve to 5-7 (1-1 in Region 1) and welcome #6 Central Cass to town on Thursday night.
Wyndmere/Lidgerwood struggled mightily against Oak Grove’s press coverage and was flustered into 30 turnovers. Bryer Kaczynski paced the Warbirds with nine points. The Warbirds fall to 2-7 (0-4 in Region 1) and host #2 Kindred on Thursday night.
