It wasn’t their most flawless performance, but the Shanley girls’ basketball team still earned a convincing win over Wahpeton on Tuesday night, 62-41. The Deacons used their decided points in the paint advantage to propel them to victory.
Deacons senior center had a terrific all-around game, posting 22 points, 16 rebounds, six blocks, and three steals.
Wahpeton was paced by Scout Woods with 15 points. The Huskies struggled mightily shooting the ball, going 1-14 from beyond the three-point line.
Shanley improved to 5-4 in EDC play and will travel to Devils Lake on Friday, January 14th.
Wahpeton drops to 3-4 in the East Region and visits West Fargo this Friday night.
