FARGO WEST FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo and West Fargo public schools have canceled schools today because of the dangerous, subzero temperatures and windchills.
All Fargo school classes and extra-curricular activities are closed. That includes the Early Childhood Special Education pre-school program and Adult Learning Center, and there will be no online learning.
The school district says its bus transportation company reported a number of its buses are not operating and today’s weather would create additional challenges to keep enough of its buses working to cover all routes. Another problem is heat. A large number of the district’s school buildings now have electric demand curtailment for heating which would cause building issues. The Fargo district will have a storm make-up day in April.
All West Fargo Public School classes are closed and will not have distance learning today. The district says it will not add another day of school to its calendar because of the closure.
Oak Grove Lutheran School also canceled classes Friday.
