MAPLETON, N.D. (KFGO) – A $5.3 million bond referendum Tuesday to add a middle school to the Mapleton School District failed. The vote was 48% yes, 52% no. It needed 60% to pass.
The Mapleton school opened in 2017 with 104 students, the school’s population has almost doubled, now sitting at 202.
