GRAND RAPIDS, MINN. – The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its deputies. His family says 41-year-old Deputy Jayme Williams died of COVID-19 complications after surgery on Monday.
The GoFundMe Page says Williams became infected December 11th, was hospitalized in Deer River December 15th, and taken to an I-C-U bed in Virginia the next day.
He was known as “Rooster” and Itasca County Sheriff Deputy 722. Williams leaves behind a wife, three children, and a loving dog.
The bottom of the GoFundMe Page says, “Hold your loved ones” and “Forever our 722.”
