ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Ramsey County Courthouse was evacuated Monday morning after the discovery of a suspicious package.
Deputies say that package was designed to look like an improvised explosive device and the intent was “terrorizing individuals at the courthouse.” Traffic was diverted from the area while an investigation was conducted. The St. Paul Police Bomb Squad and the St. Paul Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team recovered the package.
Two hours later the courthouse and nearby streets were reopened.
