ST. CLOUD, Minn – A 23-year-old man convicted of sexual assault has received the maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
Abdirahim Omar Ali will have to register as a predatory sex offender when he gets out of prison. Several aggravating factors played a role in determining the sentence – including threatening to kill the victim and working in concert with several other offenders. The incident happened last year in October in St. Cloud.
The victim told officers she had been attacked in a park. She told investigators she didn’t know any of her attackers.
