Republican Majority Leader Rich Wardner
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – North Dakota Senate Majority Leader Rich Wardner says he will not seek re-election in 2022.
The Dickinson Republican has been in the State Legislature for 32 years – 24 of them in the state Senate, with 10 years as Majority Leader. At a Capitol news conference, Wardner says a lot has been accomplished – and he credits the teamwork shown in the Senate and with his House colleagues.
Wardner says the Republican party – and the state – needs to come together to focus on shared needs and common goals.
Wardner says he plans to stay involved in the Dickinson community. And he says he would like to look at opportunities in education.
