TWO HARBORS, Minn. – A lakefront construction project in Duluth is moving next year’s tall ships festival to Two Harbors.
The Festival of Sail Lake Superior was canceled by the pandemic last year. Work in Duluth is being done on a new sea wall and future event space. The August event is scheduled to feature a record-setting 12 ships. Even though Two Harbors is a much-smaller community, organizers point to the expansive waterfront that will offer about 300-thousand additional square feet for events – to go with three times as much dock space.
Tickets for the tall ships festival went on sale last Friday.
