Rusty Halverson
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KFGO) – KFGO Ag. Reporter Rusty Halvorson was recognized at this year’s National Association of Farm Broadcasters (NAFB) convention. He was presented with awards in Market Reports, Newscast, and Feature categories.
Halvorson, who joined the station earlier this year, said he is humbled to receive the awards and, “proud to be a part of the team,” at KFGO.
The annual convention brings ag leaders and other professionals together to learn more about opportunities and challenges impacting farmers and ranchers.
KFGO Farm and Ranch Director Sarah Heinrich is a past NAFB award winner. She has also been honored by the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association with Eric Severeid awards for agriculture broadcasting excellence.
