WEST FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – There’s very good news for West Fargo Police Officer Tim Brown.
The 29-year old suffered a heart attack while on duty two weeks ago and was airlifted to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for specialized care.
Police Chief Denis Otterness says Brown arrived back home Sunday night with his family and his parents and had time to meet with police staff Monday.
Otterness says from the “dire conditions we received Sunday morning, October 31, it’s a miraculous..absolutely miraculous recovery in just two short weeks to have him back in West Fargo.” He says Brown’s heart is operating at nearly 100%, something Otterness was told would never happen.
He says the outpouring of cards and letters from people everywhere, including many elementary students from West Fargo public schools has been amazing and much appreciated by the Brown family and the police department.
Brow collapsed at the Cass County Jail while he processed two people.
