ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota transportation projects will benefit from about four-point-five-billion dollars in federal funding.
It’s part of the recently passed trillion-dollar infrastructure package. MnDOT Commissioner Margaret Anderson Kelliher says the money will be spread throughout the state to fix trouble areas and improve transit.
She says “the work that we do with rural transit is a lot of focus on folks who want to be able to live in their community and stay in their community, whether it’s Wabasha or Red Wing or Virginia.”
Kelliher says a significant portion of the funding will be used to make roadways safer for travelers.
