FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – The Fargo Park District is hosting an event celebrating an upcoming Spanish holiday.
The holiday is Día de los Muertos or the “Day of the Dead”. The multi-day Spanish holiday involves loved ones gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family who have died. Celebrations can take a humorous tone, as celebrants remember funny events and anecdotes about the departed.
The event will be held at Broadway Square on Tuesday, November 2nd from 4-6p.m. The free event will feature three presentations, traditional “Day of the Dead” activities, food, and more.
Origins of the “Day of the Dead” have been celebrated worldwide, for some 3,000 years.
