TWO HARBORS, Minn. – Officials connected to the Split Rock Lighthouse on Lake Superior say visitors will be welcomed back next month for the annual memorial to the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Nobody attended last year’s ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This time plans are for a hybrid event, with the lighthouse grounds open to the public and a livestream production offered on the Minnesota Historical Society’s social media pages.
The November 10th ceremony honors the sailors who died on the Edmund Fitzgerald when it sank in a storm in 1975.
