Former State Republican Chair Jennifer Carnahan
HOPKINS, Minn. – The Republican Party of Minnesota will elect a new state chair on Saturday.
The G-O-P State Central Committee is meeting at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Former state Senator David Hann of Eden Prairie is the favorite to lead Minnesota Republicans. Former state Representative Jim Newberger was running, but dropped out earlier this month. Businessman Jerry Dettinger is also a candidate.
Ex-G-O-P chair Jennifer Carnahan stepped down after close friend and Republican donor Anton Lazzaro was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges.
