(St. Paul, MN) – Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin says that while he’s disappointed that Kirill Kaprizov hasn’t re-signed with the team yet, Minnesota is ready to move on without the Calder Trophy winner if he’s not in training camp next week.
The Wild and Kaprizov had reportedly agreed to the framework of a five-year deal, but the two parties haven’t made any progress for weeks.
Even though the season starts before December 1st, Minnesota has until that time to re-sign Kaprizov.
The Wild are preparing for their first preseason game on Saturday after wrapping up the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase over the weekend.
