MAPLETON, N.D. (KFGO) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday two miles east of Mapleton. She’s identified as 47-year-old Stephani Rindy.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Rindy was eastbound on an I-94 frontage road, approaching an interchange. She failed to make a curve and ran off the roadway, overturned, and ended up in a ditch. Rindy was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered head injuries. She was not wearing a helmet.
Rindy was flown by Sanford AirMed helicopter to a Fargo hospital.
The patrol says the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
