GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Three men have been arrested in an undercover human trafficking sting at a Grand Forks hotel Thursday night.
Police say the operation targeted people attempting to hire another person for sex. Authorities used an on-line ad for the sting. Investigators from the Grand Forks and Dickinson Police Departments, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Homeland Security were involved in the operation.
The men arrested are facing a charge of “hiring an individual to engage in sexual activity,” a class B misdemeanor, punishable by a $1,000 fine and 30-days in jail.
